Most manufacturers recommend a service every year, and many warranties depend on it. A service is the best way to make sure the boiler is burning gas safely and efficiently, and it costs far less than an emergency repair in the middle of winter.
Our Gas Safe registered engineers check the boiler inside and out, test its safety devices and flue, and make sure it is working the way it should. Afterwards we tell you what we found in plain English and give you a record of the service.

Once a year. Most manufacturers recommend an annual service, and many boiler warranties require it to stay valid.
How long does a boiler service take?
Usually around an hour for a standard domestic boiler. It can take longer if the boiler needs cleaning or a part replacing.
Is a boiler service the same as a gas safety certificate?
No. A service checks and cleans the boiler so it runs well. A landlord gas safety certificate (CP12) is a legal safety check of all gas appliances in a rented property. Landlords often book both on the same visit.
